The Wind in the Willows is one of our previous commissions, and if you haven't heard it, you won't want to miss this opportunity. Frank Ticheli is one of the great wind composers today, and his Sun Dance is just that, a delightful dance. For many, the highlight of the concert will be one of the greatest works ever written for band, Hindemith's famed Symphony in Bb. We return to Ticheli with his beautiful setting of Shenandoah, and we close with music by the Dean of American composers, Aaron Copland's Suite from The Red Pony.
