The Metropolitan Wind Symphony is proud to announce that after reviewing many fine submissions, it has selected a winner of its 2003 New England Student Composer Competition. He is Hayato Hirose. He will be commissioned to write a piece for wind ensemble for us to premiere. We sincerely thank everyone who took part in this competition and wish them well.
